聚(L-丙交酯)一种具有强旋光性和良好力学性能的半晶聚合物。它主要用于合成可降解聚合物，用于矫形装置、牙科应用，作为自体移植的新皮肤、伤口覆盖物、吻合系统和支架的支架。它们是可生物降解的，因为聚酯骨架通过简单水解降解，形成无毒化合物。
PLLA的用处很多，主要用于外科手术缝合线、牙科、眼科、药用控释系统、人造皮肤、人造血管、骨和软组织缺损部分填充剂、生物可吸收支架等医药学领域。

Poly (L-lactide) is a semi crystalline polymer with strong optical rotation and good mechanical properties. It is mainly used to synthesize degradable polymers for orthopedic devices, dental applications, and as a scaffold for autologous transplantation of new skin, wound covers, anastomotic systems and stents. They are biodegradable because the polyester skeleton is degraded by simple hydrolysis to form non-toxic compounds.

PLLA has many uses. It is mainly used in surgical sutures, dentistry, ophthalmology, pharmaceutical controlled-release systems, artificial skin, artificial blood vessels, partial fillers for bone and soft tissue defects, bioabsorbable stents and other medical fields.
